About us
LAI Organic is a family business with the objective of producing exceptional quality organic Extra Virgin olive oil. The olive grove lies on a hill near the historic city Lavrion.
The olive oil sells internationally, is certified organic and has been awarded with the Gold GOOA 2022 Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards, as well as the NYIOOC Gold Award 2022 from New York. The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil contest.
Our story
It all started in 1993 with the idea of leading a life close to nature and cultivating everything organic. Along with the olive trees, we are striving to restore the original flora with all kinds of Mediterranean plants. After long hours of work and researching organic cultivation, we have established an olive grove of almost one thousand olive trees which we look at personally since then.
The first years the grove produced only enough olive oil for the family, today we produce upwards of three thousands litres in a good year. The research for the production of excellent olive oil, led us to Vasilis Frantzolas and his Olive Oil Seminars.
Organic cultivation is something we take seriously. In all of those years no kind of pesticide nor chemical compound has been utilized. The farm has been certified fully organic by DIO.
